Over the coming few days, the two brightest planets will come pretty close together, but - from mid-northern latitudes - the pair can only be seen low on the horizon at dawn: Science@NASA, Sky & Tel., Universe Today, Astronomy, Space.com and the AstroBlogger have previews.
And Europeans should not forget the rare stellar occulation by a small asteroid tonight!
